This is a very long coastline on the southern side of the Tagus River and can be well spotted when one flies into Lisbon. It’s situated about 50 km away from Cascais.
This is a wonderful coastline for a beach walk. After a 10 km (or 5 km) walk and depending on the weather, a quick dip into the ice-cold Atlantic could be extremely exhilarating.
Afterwards lunch (pre-booking necessary) can be enjoyed here at a great restaurant with a magnificent sea view. The sandy beach walk requires a good fitness level.
