The walk starts at the top of a staircase which consists of 278 stairs and goes down towards Praia Grande. From the staircase Dinosaur footprints can be viewed. After a short walk on the Grande beach we leave the sandy bit behind and continue towards the cliff that bypasses Praia Pequena.  

At Praia Maças we turn around and continue back along the cliff towards the Dinosaur footprints. The cliff walk is spectacular because it’s so close to the Atlantic. 

Because of the stairs a good fitness level is required for this walk, and going back up the Dinosaur staircase is certainly a bigger challenge than going down……! 

After reaching the top of the staircase we will continue in a different direction to view the footprint mountain from a different angle.   Up to here it’s about 6 km.  

If going up the staircase didn’t finish you off we can continue walking along the cliff towards Adraga beach and then back to the start.

Please bear in mind to wear proper walking shoes, also make sure you have enough water and sun protection!
