This walk starts in Malveira da Serra, south east of the Sanctuary.
For this walk a high level of fitness is not necessary because it’s a relatively easy walk. The walkway is at an incline, but it’s a gradual climb. The difference between this walk and the Route 1 walk is that it passes through the woods.
A completely different atmosphere, with much bigger trees and different vegetation and on a hot day one is more protected from the sun. Once we get to the top, the view is as spectacular as in Route 1.
