This walk starts at the main square of Sao Pedro de Sintra. The first stretch of this walk, about 2.5 km, is very steep, therefore a good fitness level is required for this walk.
At the top stunning views are to be seen from a small lookout platform. From there onwards it goes downhill and levels out eventually. Because of regular high humidity and high rainfall in the Sintra area, the vegetation is very dense and absolutely spectacular.
Please bear in mind to wear proper walking shoes, also make sure you have enough water and sun protection!
